From my own collection, this is a rare 1930's 14 karat solid gold, triple signed Longines in excellent condition. Original silver dial- not refinished. The case is 14 karat solid gold, clearly hallmarked on the back: "14k" and inside "Longines - Wittnauer Watch Co. Inc. New York, Geneva, Montreal 14k 108009". Raised diamond markers with 17 single cut diamonds = 0.50 carats/ 1/2 carat. Subsidiary second hand dial and silver hour and second hands. Movement is in excellent condition, no rust, and marked as follows: "Longines Watch Co. Swiss 17 Jewels 8568128". The case is curved with bevel cut crystal and fancy lugs. It measures 24 millimeters x 41 millimeters, not including the crown. Brand new black croc leather band.
Curvex watches are in of themselves quite rare, but the combination of the curved (Curvex) solid gold case with a diamond dial, along with the beveled crystal make this watch extremely rare. This Longines is also referred to as a "doctors watch" or a "pilots watch".
This watch is in exceptional condition for its age and one of the best watch investments today. It will not decrease in value as watches from overpriced watch companies do. Similar watches sell between $1850 and $3500 on eBay.
