Absolutely stunning estate, Art Nouveau ~ Art Deco genuine antique natural Ceylon sapphire and 18 karat yellow gold cross pendant. This is truly an original, one of a kind, work of art - a very skilled craftsman created this piece by hand and chose the most lovely array of cornflower blue natural antique Kashmir quality sapphires. A total of seven stones comprise the body of the cross while elegant 18 karat yellow gold bezels detailed with tiny bead accents frame each uniquely cut stone. The vertical row of sapphires include round Lisbon cut stones, five in all. All five sapphires in velvety color cornflower blue, rich and vibrant navy hues. The two French Perruzzi cut stones set on the horizontal arms of the cross are a well-matched pair of warm and bright cornflower blue sapphires. The tips of the bezels at both ends of the horizontal arm and the bottom of the cross are finished by a small gold bead. The original bail is a small, fixed single loop and is currently strung on a gold jump ring. The cross measures 1 3/4 inches (3.5cm) from the top of the natural bail to the bottom of the bead and 1 inch (2.5cm) from one end of the horizontal arm to the other.
